Home!

I had fun, but I am very glad to be back home. Not much warmer down here though, apparently that cold front has covered the entire state.

We stopped in the city of Taos yesterday, but it was cold and so we didn't walk around very much. We thought it would be much warmer down there than the ski valley and didn't layer, we were wrong, it was probably only a couple degrees warmer. We did have brunch at a place called Bent Street Cafe and I swear it was be best breakfast I have ever eaten in my life. Britton also thought his soup was the best ever. I don't know if the food was really that great or we just thought it was because we were so cold and hungry by then.

On the way there (and again on the way back) I spotted the coolest old graveyard. It is just there, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is the huge white rock (seriously huge, like the size of a 2 story house) and beneath it a large statue of Jesus and then all these graves that spread out from there. The unusual thing (aside from there being a graveyard there) is the rock, there were no others like it anywhere along the drive. It seemed as out of place as the graveyard. I must get back there in the summer so I can stop and get some photos.

Most of all we were happy to see our cats and dog again! They were happy to see us too!
