Yep, sometimes I forget how much I love music and how much music moves me. So a thank you to HBO for airing the rock n' roll hall of fame special! Can there be anything better than Simon and Garfunkel, Jeff Beck and Bruce Springsteen? I doubt it. Oh, there is lots more including special guests, but that is what stood out for me. I think Jeff Beck is Dorian Gray, he doesn't look a day older since he was with the Yardbirds, nor does he sound old. In the 1990's I was lucky enough to see him in concert with Stevie Ray Vaughn and I have never forgot that great experience. Simon and Garfunkel are easily within my 3 top bands ever. I think Art Garfunkel is part angel, at least his voice. That such profundity can be brought to us in such a beautiful way is amazing. Then there is Bruce Springsteen. I am pretty sure that anyone who has ever been 15 -19 can't resist born to run. It is wild and lustful and one of my very favorite songs EVER.
Now as a teenager I mostly listened to Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and all other popular heavy metal bands. I still like those, in a nostalgic way. However, before that I loved folk and rock/pop, thanks to my mom and older sisters and that is still what I really LOVE. Sometimes I feel like a out of time hippy. :) As a 4 year old, I loved Smokey Robinson and could sing you most of his songs. I moved on from there to Peter, Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and so on. There was even country, such as Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins.
OK, just reminding myself that even though I don't listen to it as much as I once did -- I still love music! Sometimes I think that it is really only music that makes us human.

Deirdre in Art
I think Deirdre is much prettier in real life, but it is still a nice and fun drawing.

Black Friday
No black Friday disclosure, which was no surprise.
I suppose it happens everywhere, but there were actually people camping out at Best Buy and other stores Thursday night. A $200 lap top is a great deal, but not if I have to camp out in the parking lot to get one. Of course, I suppose that would depend on how badly I needed one. I skipped black Friday shopping as I do every year.
Not much going on here. My cat, Kanga, loves dog shows and she is watching the Portland dog show on Animal Planet. The other cat and dog are sound asleep and likely I will try to do the same in a few minutes.

Happy Disclosure Day - again!
Nope, not staying up to wait for the announcement. :) Although, I think most have backed off this date, some saying just that it will be the first of next year and most saying nothing at all. IMO, it is better to say nothing at all, so far as trying to guess a date for something that is unlikely to even happen.
In honor of Disclosure Day I bought some UFO t-shirts from Threadless, one is called 2012 Disclosure, you can check them out at the girlie blog.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Your Thanksgiving Personality is Foodie |
![]() You love Thanksgiving, as long as it's done right. And that means no funky green jello salads. Thanksgiving is all about the food for you, and you like it to be top notch. There's a good chance you do all the cooking... that is unless you dine out. Your ideal Thanksgiving would include your favorite dishes, as well as a few funky new experimental favorites. And it would also include friends and family who can appreciate good food as much as you do. No instant mashed potatoes lovers welcome! |

BoA Mania!
I am not feeling great and/or too lazy to update BTD tonight, but I did want everyone to know that the new season of BoA: Audio has begun! This week the guests are Jim Marrs and Jesse Ventura, so you won't want to miss it! Also, coming soon - BoA 2.0. I have seen the preview and it really looks awesome! Hats off to webmaster Jeremy Boston!

Who cares if global warming is man-made?
I've noticed that some of the better known "conspiracy" types are jumping on a bandwagon about man-made global warming being a hoax. Part of it has to do with some emails that hackers got that were going between climate scientists, but it started before that. I think, as I did before, so what? Seriously, so what if global warming is man-made or not? It doesn't make the carcinogenics and smog any better for living, breathing creatures, which includes humans. I think the thing that bothers me most about this bandwagon is that the people going along with it the most are the same ones that have been claiming for years that the top elite of big business are part of the illuminati. Yet they are going right along with big business and not wanting any of the amount of poison they produce that goes out into the air to be restricted. God forbid that corporations should lose any money! After all, they need that money to pay their CEOs hundred million dollar salaries, we can't have them spend a few million to make their factories more efficient and less polluting. They are such hypocrites. They totally make me ill. As does anyone that would stand up for polluting companies (whether or not global warming is man-made) over the health of the citizens that have to live in this world. Meanwhile, they totally flip over flu vaccines, which I am sure kill far less people than asthma and other health problems that are caused and/or made worse by the filthy air we breath.
As for global warming, the result will be the same whether it is man-made or not. Even if those emails did show true evidence of a hoax (which I don't believe they do), it doesn't change anything, there is still global warming and pollution still makes people sick and causes death.

Fringe MIB episode
Kind of a slow news/blog post day. I guess everyone must be getting ready for Thanksgiving or something.
I finally got around to watching the latest Fringe episode last night. The MIBs were back and falling in love with humans! It was a very interesting episode. There are some things we know about the MIBs on Fringe, they travel through time to observe events, but they are not suppose to become involved. Still trying to figure out their love for hot peppers though. It is also obvious that Walter knows more about them than he is saying. He seems to be keeping their secrets so that they will keep his secret about Peter, which we all pretty much know because it has been hinted about quite often. Anyhow, it was one of my favorite Fringe episodes so far.

Your Fashion Style is Casual |
![]() You prefer to keep it laid back. Jeans and a t-shirt are practically your uniform. And when you dress up, you're still the most informal person in the room. Dressing formally makes you feel stuffy. Just because you're casual, it doesn't mean you're unfashionable. In fact, you often look effortlessly chic. You know how to rock a perfect fitting pair of jeans and a funky t-shirt. Not many adults can pull off your look, but you can! |

Sharing my disgust

So there I was in the supermarket checkout line when I saw the People magazine Sexiest Man Issue. I had no plans to buy it, but since Johnny Depp was on the cover I decided to look through it and on the very first page was the image above. I was totally repulsed by it. I was even more repulsed by turning the page and finding out it was an ad for GMC and the slogan was Ideas are sexy too or something like that. Ideas from GMC? If they had ideas maybe they wouldn't have needed to be bailed out by the taxpayers. Possibly they have ideas and just don't ever do anything with them? Back to the image, just for starters, I don't find men with their undies hanging out to be sexy -- I think they look stupid. Also, Einstein doesn't need to be sexy because of his body or the way he dresses because he had what every woman really wants - a big brain. OK, probably just me, but I find it disgusting in a way that I can't even totally describe, so of course I had to share my disgust with you.

Just sayin' hi
I think I am having writers block. Can't come up with anything to write about the past week or so. Well, more like I can think of things, but then when I sit down to write about it -- nothing comes out and I am there staring at a blank screen.
Oh, but who cares about that? Only a week until disclosure!!! That will give me plenty to write about! lol!
