UFO forest mystery
SUFFOLK: It is the site of Britain's most famous close encounter with strange lights still often seen floating in the night sky.
And if the latest reports are anything to go by Rendlesham Forest, near Woodbridge, continues to be a beacon for the weird and wonderful.

Your Shopping Stereotype is Unique |
![]() It's hard to stereotype you, because you simply buy what you like. You are a true individual. Sometimes you go high end. Sometimes you go low end. But you almost never go with the crowd. You don't settle until you find the perfect item. Shopping is one of the ways that you express yourself. You're proud of what you own, and if you change your mind about something, you immediately get rid of it. |

Stuff
I just got this in my email -- Study: Magnets can alter morality. What a weird story and I am thinking that between that and some scientists blaming EMF for the Toyotas that won't stop there is something to be said for being cautious with any form of magnetic energy, not that I didn't think that before. It also makes me wonder what kind of experiments those secret agencies might have going on.
We saw Alice in Wonderland in 3-D last night. Lovely and wonderful! Cheshire Cat is still my favorite character, but Depp did a great job as the Mad Hatter!
I had a very busy and early day yesterday and I am exhausted and yet for some reason I am still awake and typing, but I think this is it for the night.

More Future Theater
Just heard the preview for next week - Frank Feshchino and Alfred Lehmberg and the real story of the Flatwoods Monster! How dare Alfred have not have told me!
Future Theater has arrived!
As I am writing this and I am listening to the stream of Future Theater because I couldn't listen live. I like hearing Nancy's voice, we always email and I have never spoken to her on the phone, that is not unusual though because I hate phones. They are talking with Kevin Cook right now. He doesn't seem as bad as he did on UFO Hunters. I suppose he was told to play up the skeptic on the show, not that he isn't a skeptic, but just not as bad as he seemed. Oh, I should add, the sound quality of the show is really good. Nancy just said that Kevin brought sex appeal. We all know the girlz love Pat! I also think Ted is super cute! Ooooooooh, Kevin just admitted he isn't as much of a skeptic as he portrayed on the show and he was told to "not drink the kool-aid." I still think UFO Hunters was canceled for doing that Dugway episode. Whether there were UFOs there or not, I don't think certain people liked them poking around.

THE MISTY PHANTOM OF DARTMOOR

OK, so the photo isn't Dartmoor and it is actually the smoke monster from Lost devouring Mr. Eko, but close enough. :)

Stuff
UfoMystic's account has been suspended. According to Craig it was for exceeding the server resources. Craig is moving us to a new server and hopefully it will be back up soon.
I keep forgetting to mention, but not this time - check out Dr. Kaku's new blog here. There is never too much Kaku!
I finally saw The Men Who Stare at Goats last night. I enjoyed it, but they made it all too happy and comedic and I know that most people will only see the movie and think that is how it was. What can you do, eh?

Just some commentary
I have posted a new post at UFO Mystic. It is a comment on Sean David Morton and other fortean rip offs. Well, and if he isn't a rip off, where are the hundreds or thousands of people defending him because of all the money they made? And why did he have to charge hundreds of dollars (as I remember) for his newsletter - when he should have been rich from the stock market? Oh, but you know all that and it isn't what the post is about.
Onto politics - don't we already have a Sarah Palin reality show? I think we do, it is called FOX news. Besides which, Sarah can look sane in comparison when being interview by Glenn Beck. Boring! No need for any TV network to pay 1 million per episode for that crap.
Celebrity news (probably belongs at the totally girlie blog): Sandra Bullock - dump Jesse. You could do much better. Any girl in America could pick up a guy with that much "class" and taste. You deserve better gurlfriend!

Future Theater canceled for today
Nancy Birnes:
Thank *you* for caring! We just heard from Lan, our producer, that his area of Oklahoma is in the middle of a blizzard! There is no power for the show this week, so we will have to do it next week.
This gives us time to make it even better, and to finally get some sleep. It's been a knuckle-gnawing couple of days and sleepless nights. But it's so darn exciting, and the show is going to be wonderful.
Various Things
In case you didn't read any of the many other notices I put up at various blogs - Bill and Nancy Birnes have a new radio/podcast show that will be starting tonight at 6 pm eastern. It is called Future Theater. Guests will include UFO Hunters, Dr. Ted Acworth, Pat Uskert and producer of the show Dan Zarenkiewicz. Before that there will be some chit chat between Nancy and Bill. Bill says there will be open lines (I guess they must give out the number on the show or maybe it is the same one on the Lan Lamphere site) and there will also be a chat room (not sure where that is either). Maybe Nancy will update the Future Theater blog later today with that info.
Onto other things...
Adam Gorightly informed me earlier that he has been censored at UFO Mystic. I am not sure of the reason for this censorship, but if there is a CIA disinformation agent posing as a blogger at UFO Mystic, it is obviously not myself or Regan Lee. Everyone knows CIA disinformation agents are always men. The CIA only uses women for missions requiring luring a man somewhere or convincing him to do something against his will. Anyhow, you can read all about Adam's experience here.
Not sure what weather elf is randomly pushing buttons, but it was 70 f (21 c) here on Thursday and tonight we have at least 3 inches of snow and they have closed the highway going east (maybe west too by now).

Out of it, but hoping to return
As you might have noticed, no Grey Matters this week. Sometimes writing is tricky. I did actually write a Grey Matters for this week, but when I finished I wasn't entirely happy with it. There were a couple reasons for that, but #1 was that I felt I wasn't getting out what I really wanted to say and I couldn't quite figure out how to do that. It will come to me, I thought, but as the week wore on - it didn't. It still hasn't. I just finished up Grey Matters for next week on an entirely different topic. Perhaps some day it will come to me and then I can finish it up. Of course, who knows how many writing projects I have that are just waiting for me to "finish them up?" For certain there is a lot of those.
Yesterday in the mail I received Paranoia: The Conspiracy Reader, volume 1. I don't remember ordering it and there was no receipt in the package. I remember thinking that I would get around to ordering it, but not doing it. So I don't know if I did or Joan maybe sent me a freebie. It did remind me that I told Joan that I would try to write something for it, but what I tried to write ended up much like the GM that I just mentioned. For that reason I must try harder to come up with something for the next volume.
Aside from writing mishaps that happen all the time, I have been all around "out of it" lately. I don't think I have updated BTD in over a week. I feel so lazy and I blame it on Fall allergies and weather changes, but maybe I am just lazy - you know, more so than normal. Anyhow, I am pretty sure it will pass eventually and I will become a little less lazy and my mind will become slightly more clear. Hopefully.

The Dobharchu

Nobody wants to meet a Puca. More often than not this animal spirit is malevolent and is to be avoided. The Puca usually appears as a horse, though it can take the form of almost any animal. Several of my friends who are not well versed in Irish ways have named pets “Pooka,” and frankly I am cautious around them.Guilty! Everyone should be cautious around all large dogs that they don't know and even the ones you think you know. Although, pretty much unless you are a raccoon or some other uninvited guest sneaking into the yard, you don't have much to fear from my Pooka.
