Note to Mr. Jeremy Vaeni
Was just listening to the latest edition of Paratopia. I was accused of cowardly posting at the UFO Mag thread after you claimed you were going to stop reading it. Being that I have access to the stats I knew that you were still reading it (actually checking back quite often) and therefore could respond if you wanted. Even had I not known that, I can't see that it would be any different than you commenting on almost everyone who had posted to that thread on your podcast -- where nobody could respond.
Also, that post was in direct connection to you storming off as though people were attacking you by not agreeing. Just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean they are against you.
Just a suggestion -- next time maybe you should not end your post with "bring on the hate mail." It didn't seem like you even wanted to stick around for disagreement, let alone hate. When you write something like that you are expected to chin up to the bar. :-)
Your show also made me feel as though I was being tossed into the basket of Meier believers. So let me state for the record -- I am not a believer. I think his photos are fake, which doesn't mean he never had a ufo or some sort of experience, but I really don't care about him either way.
Side note to Jeff Ritzmann -- You are right, I don't know you. However, I had heard you on the paracast and various places enough to know that it was possible that Alfred would say something that would make you turn blue. Or was it purple? Anyhow, I promise to use Jeremy next time I write about someone changing colors.

The Daily Circus
I was just over at Jeremy Vaeni's Culture of Contact site. I am sad to hear that the CoC conference didn't go well. I am not sure why that is. It does make me question whether I would ever want to take the gamble of putting money into a conference here, which is something I had planned on doing in the future. Obviously there are lots of conferences that do well or they wouldn't keep doing them every year. Maybe it is just hard to get a new one going? Maybe it is because Jeremy gave it a theme rather than just calling it the UFO/paranormal extravaganza or something very clear to those that aren't in the know? It is also likely that with the US economy tanking that people had too much on their minds and too little money in the bank to want to attend.
Don't forget Jim Marrs on BoA this Saturday. Yeah, like I would let you forget.
I am exhausted again -- so I am off to load the dishwasher and then get some sleep.

UFO Magazine -- Current Issue

Wow! UFO Magazine is incredibly great this month!
Here is what you will find --
Nancy Birnes has things figured out in the editor in chief column.
Nick Redfern is on the trail of Chupacabra.
Stanton Friedman talks about perceptions and just plain stupidity.
Jeremy Vaeni wonders what Hollywood is doing for Ufology? Maybe more or less than we think.
As always, Alfred Lehmberg is willing to go out on a limb and stir up some controversy with a piece on Billy Meier and Michael Horn. It isn't your common article about how they are nothing more than liars and frauds.
George Noory talks about running for President in 2012 and more.
Regan Lee defends the Contactees. Good for her! Billy Meier could also be considered a contactee, so her and Lehmberg's articles kinda go together.
Sean Casteel talks with Yvonne Smith about alien abduction.
And one of my very favorite subjects is a feature article -- Fairylore and UFOs, by Nigel Watson.
This issue also has some really nice artwork and lots more that I didn't mention and haven't even begun to read.
So hop on down to your local Barnes and Noble, or wherever they sell UFO Mag in your area and pick up a copy. Or you could subscribe and have every great issue delivered right to your mail box.
