The Legend of Roswell
Last week Steve Hubbard sent me his book The Legend of Roswell. I haven't got around to starting it yet, but will soon. This is what Amazon says about the book:
The Roswell Incident wasn't an alien visitation, it was a CIA spoof that went out of control. Two agents tried to convince the Soviets the Americans had a secret aircraft that could drop the atomic bomb on Moscow.I guess we will see if he can convince me of that. At least it hopefully will not be the typical Roswell story because I know that by heart.

Fringe and Stuff
OMG! Did any of you watch Fringe last night, with the Nazi dude? How is that going to work into the overall plot and alternate universe? Will Hitler show up next season? Anything is possible, Fringe is finally getting that edgy Lost vibe. The winter finale next week looks pretty cool.
I forgot to mention, but some of my blogs now have comment moderation. That isn't because I am afraid of comments, but because I have had a rash of spamming. Hopefully, I can remove that in a few weeks after the spammers have been discouraged.
I am going to try to get some sleep early tonight, for me anyway. It is cold which is making me sleepy so I might as well take advantage of that.

Google spots UFO
Not sure I would actual call that a UFO, more like an anomaly.

You Love to Talk About Ideas |
![]() You like your conversations to be deep and meaningful. You are not a big fan of small talk. You are open to all sorts of conversation topics, especially if they are unique or interesting. You love it when a conversation takes you somewhere unexpected. You will talk about anything, even if it's controversial or weird. You aren't shy about speaking your mind. You may shock people with what you're willing to talk about, but at least it's more interesting than discussing the weather. |
Pretty true, except I don't mind talking about the weather. :)

iPad, iWind, iBoA, iNeedSomeSleep

I am already swooning over it! Too bad it won't be available for 90 days. I love my iPod touch and the iPad does so much more. Really stupid name though. I would have went with iTab.
It is snowing here in a wimpy way. What is really bad is the wind. Pretty sure the gusts are at least 45 mph, it is really howling. That sound the wind makes always reminds me of old gothic horror movies and novels. I like it, as long as I don't have to go out in it. The pets want nothing to do with it and are all curled up and sleeping, which is what I should be doing. Felt totally exhausted a couple hours ago when I was doing actual work, but feel totally awake now.
BTW, I do have a new Grey Matters at Binnall of America. Mostly thoughts for newbies to UFO blogging and such.
OK, I will try to sleep soon. g'night or morning to be more precise.

You Are Polyester |
![]() You are funky, flexible, and very modern. You like new things, and you're always on the cutting edge of trends. It doesn't bother you that polyester isn't natural... some of the best things in life aren't natural! You are all about style and looking good. You don't buy things that are meant to last, because you get sick of them quickly anyway. You're not a snob. You have eclectic tastes, and you like many things. You don't rely on labels in deciding what you love. |
What a wrong answer! I hate polyester (and other unnatural fabrics), they always make me itch and sweat - nothing in my closet is made from that!

What is my Agenda?
I knew even as I sent the Ronson interview to Nancy months ago that I would piss some people off with some of my questions, well, one in particular that referred to Glenn Beck and him stirring up unnecessary trouble by saying things like the President hates white people. So I have been disappointed over the past couple weeks when I didn't receive any email from Beck followers, but finally yesterday I did! For some unknown reason it was also sent to Vicki Ecker, who had nothing to do with my interview. The sender didn't actually claim to be a Beck follower, but she did accuse me of not being objective, using leading questions and having an agenda. It was great!
As those of you that frequent here and other places where I write probably know - I have never claimed to be objective. No, not ever. What I express are entirely my own opinions. Personally, I believe that people that think they are objective are just lying to themselves.
How could my questions (or comments) about extremists be leading when I was interviewing the man that wrote Adventures with Extremists? Was I taking advantage of poor Jon Ronson and forcing him to say things he didn't believe? I don't think so. Oh sure, I would like to think I am that persuasive, but I rather doubt it. Since it was Jon's books I was commenting about wouldn't it be that he was the one leading me?
I am not sure that I have ever been accused of having an agenda before. I wonder what that agenda is? Having an agenda makes me sound kind of important and busily involved in some sort of secret cabal. Very Illuminati-ish. I like it!

Stuff
Harlot The Witch On C2C! tonight according to Adam Gorightly, who is the Bell Master. It is a classic Art Bell interview and if you haven't heard it before, be sure to tune in or at least find it on the internet. Harlot is a Satanic witch who claims to have sacrificed her child to Satan. Art became strangely obsessed with her and I think he must have mentioned that interview hundreds, if not thousands, of times over the years. Probably any time someone mentioned witches or satan. Truly classic Art Bell.
A sad goodbye to Coco, even though he will likely be back in 7 months or so on some other network.
Just to mention something - I had to remove an entire thread at UFO Magazine forum today. You all know how I hate removing any sort of comment other than spam, but it had to be done to save a certain person legal fees. It really disgusts me that it came to that point. That someone would actually be sued over something they wrote on the internet! What is the world coming to?
